A year has gone by since he became President. I didn’t vote for him, but – anyway – I had higher expectations. I expected him to be more moderate, sensible, balanced, stable, willing to bridge the gap that has been separating us for decades now. Instead, he keeps turning a deaf ear to the demands of many; lacks self criticism (at least, in public); contradicts himself all the time; has openly admitted he doesn’t believe in plans or programs, (and it shows); therefore, everything seems improvised. True, this world pandemic is making matters worse everywhere. But, in spite of the eternal lockdown we’ve had to put up with, the local number of fatal victims is pretty high. I wonder if, in the three remaining years of his administration, he’ll include all of us, not just his blind followers. Let’s hope so, for everybody’s sake. …
