CFK has sent another bill to Congress. A new Criminal Procedural Code this time. What’s the rush, I wonder. Why so many last minute bills, so close to the end of her administration? It sounds rather fishy, doesn’t it? The average citizen can’t help but thinking that «something smells rotten in Denmark/Argentina». And so many contradictory statements, too. Echegaray denying Báez ties, and somehow admitting them a minute later.
After all, it isn’t the end of the world, is it? Just the end of an era (hopefully). Is it really necessary to make so many drastic changes with almost no consensus? Wouldn’t it be wiser to aim at a smooth, civilized transition, paving the way to her succesor, rather than messing things up?
But well, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, I guess. And we, beggars, can’t be choosers. Or can we?
