They didn’t see it coming. Their unexpected, huge defeat at the PASO primaries on September 12th was a heavy blow on the Fernández’ administration. It literally split them up. The aftermath is scary, and the wreckage, even more so. Instead of making a pause to assess the damages, rather than trying to stop and think about the past mistakes that led to these poor results, Alberto and Cristina engaged in an arm wrestle, a futile tug of war, like parents divorcing while their children (us) are caught in the middle, unable to make heads or tails of the situation. Their lack of responsibility and selfishness is appalling.  Or is this just a prank, a “mise en scene”, a smoke curtain (another one), to distract us from the real problems: Covid, inflation, poverty, insecurity, unemployment , lack of vaccines? We really didn’t need an institutional crisis to top it all, did we? Don’t they realize how shameful their behavior is? Can’t they see the impact on society? Or is it that they just don’t care? They seem to be so immersed in their private, petty struggles, that they lose sight of the roles they should be playing: leading the Nation properly until 2023, not leading it astray.
