On Monday 21st, we watched the “Martin Fierro Film Awards at the “Usina del Arte”. It was supposed to be a very significant event, since it’s the first time such prize had been given to the local movie industry. Unfortunately, what could have been a joyful and glamorous celebration, became an excuse for political protest once again. Most winners, with a few exceptions, took advantage of the occasion to unleash their political ideas and express their blatant opposition to the current administration. Boring and monotonous. “One Note Samba”. To make things worse, well known actor Norman Brisky raised his voice for Gaza (“Gaza will never be defeated”), and was applauded by most of the audience. Maybe this explains the drop in viewers during the broadcast. We are all fed up of whiney artists who seem to resist the necessary auditing any state should carry out to check that its financial support is worthwhile. As simple as that. Party-poopers…
