Some world leaders act weird and sound preposterous, to put it mildly. Maduro, the Venezuelan dictator, states he has some miraculous “goticas” (drops) that can cure Covid 19. López Obrador, the Mexican President, uses and encourages the use of good luck charms and cards bearing religious images (virgins, saints, etc) to fight the virus. Jair Bolsonaro, the Brazilian President, got mad at and insulted the journalists that reported he spent 2.8 million dollars on sweetened condensed milk. Our President, Alberto Fernández, declared: «if Paul McCartney plays Blackbird in my office, I’ll stop eating meat», and not just on Mondays (who cares, I wonder). And such people rule the world.
