Maybe he hasn’t, since he was appointed by Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and has proved not to be ready for such a role. In the midst of looting of stores and supermarkets, neither Alberto nor Cristina seem to care. After being defeated in PASO primaries, the government has vanished into thin air. The captain of this sinking ship looks more interested in travelling than in dealing with this chaotic situation. We are at the mercy of vandals, all alone, hopeless, helpless. Irresponsible, callous, insensitive, divorced from reality, the Peronist coalition keeps on disappointing and failing. The title of Gabriel García Márquez’s novel “Chronicle of a death foretold” is the accurate description of its sad ending. Sigh …
