“Only God will remove me from power”. Who said this? Not hard to guess. Brazil’s far-right President  Jair Bolsonaro.  Scary, isn’t it? And even more so the thousands of supporters who gathered in Sao Paulo and cheered him wildly. Bolsonaro portrays himself as a victim, attacked and persecuted by the Congress and the Supreme Court, institutions that are simply doing their job: investigating him. Addressing his evangelical backers, he stated:  «I have three alternatives for my future: being arrested, killed or victory». I doubt whether his so-called “victory” would also be Brazil’s. Such messianic (Messias is his middle name), egomaniac characters are really dangerous for the whole world. I bet Bolsonaro hasn’t read Friedrich Nietzsche’s· memorable assertion: “God is dead”.    If the German scholar and philosopher was right, then Jair can relax and take it easy…
