On the one hand, US President Joe Biden embracing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu at Tel Aviv airport; on the other, Alberto Fernández literally bowing to
Vladimir Putin at China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) event in Beijing.
Bowing to someone implies showing respect. Furthermore, it shows the person
you are greeting is more powerful than you. Does Fernández realise that, al-
though it doesn’t show, he’s still the President of Argentina? Therefore, he still represents us.
Isn’t he aware of the fact that Vladimir Putin is a war criminal? Fernández keeps
embarrassing us all; that seems to be his unique expertise. Messing things up till the
very end of his lousy administration.
