The trial for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa, murdered 3 years ago in Villa Gessel, has just started. It’s heart breaking to see and hear Fernando’s grieving parents, who will probably find some kind of relief only when the accused rugby players are condemned. I find it hard to believe that none of the rugbiers’ parents, not even one of them, has contacted Graciela or Silvino to offer their condolences and sympathy for their son’s death. This proves the truth of the well- known saying: ‘The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree’, does it? Like father, like son. “De tal palo, tal astilla”.
