After the PASO primaries defeat, CFK summoned some (not all) business leaders in Santa Cruz, and is said to have told someone that she’s not planning to stand for re-re-election in 2015. That reminds me of one of Aesop’s well known fables: “The Fox and the Grapes”. A starving and thisrty fox saw a bunch of alluring grapes hanging high on a vine. He did his best to reach them, and wore himself out, standing on tiptoe, stretching, jumping, but was unable to do so. Finally, he shrugged and remarked disdainfully: “Actually, they aren’t ripe yet. I don’t fancy any sour grapes.” Somehow, this fable rings a bell…
