In the midst of a temper tantrum (another one), Máximo Kirchner has resigned as leader of the ruling coalition bloc in the Chamber of Deputies. So what?  Will anyone miss him?  Obviously, he takes after his histrionic mother, who also loves this kind of “mise en scène”. Both seem to be prone to emotional outbursts. They lose their temper easily and quite often. President Fernández stated that Máximo’s mother, the Vice President, doesn’t agree with her son’s decision. I doubt it. Neither Cristina nor Máximo support Argentina’s negotiations with the IMF, euphemistically called “understanding”.  Therefore, Máximo’s theatrical door slamming must have been approved by his Mum.   There’s a clear fracture (“grieta”) that is splitting kirchnerism in half, to put it mildly. Something smells rotten in the high echelons of our Government…
