Our president tweets and tweets. In most of her tweets, she talks to herself, asking and answering her own questions, as if she were keeping a conversation with her alter ego. Strange, to say the least. Rather weird. Particularly coming from a head of state, and especially from one who never offers press conferences, where local and foreign journalists and reporters could ask freely, without being censored, scolded or mocked. Maybe she thinks this teenage, casual attitude gets her closer to the people. Like dancing to the rhythm of the National Anthem. Or sending the pope a very informal silutation, advising him to “drink mate.” Who knows? Undecipherable riddle.

Me resulta curiosa esta afición de la Presidente por twitear todo el tiempo. Y más curioso aún ese diálogo que mantiene consigo misma, comentándose, preguntándose, respondiéndose, como si hablara con su “alter ego”. Sobre todo, teniendo en cuenta que no es para nada afecta a ofrecer Conferencias de Prensa, en las que los periodistas puedan preguntar libremente, sin ser censurados, “retados” o burlados. Tal vez esté convencida que esta actitud informal y adolescente, la acerque a la gente. Como bailar al compás del Himno Nacional, o escribirle al Papa, aconsejándole que tome mate. Quizás piense que es “very grossa” haciéndolo. Quién sabe. Enigmática actitud.
