The political scene in Argentina is such a farce, such a cheesy soap opera. If the characters weren’t so phony, so flimflam, it would remind us of a Shakespearian tragedy: high treason, greed, revenge, betrayal, internal and external pressures, deceit, unapologetic ambition, resentment. Those who were bitter enemies only yesterday, are now buddies, hugging, kissing and making amends. On the other hand, chameleonic Sergio Massa is promising to do what he hasn’t done so far as Minister of Economy. You would think he didn’t belong to the current administration.
