A miracle. An unbelievable result. Argentina’s victory over Egypt last Tuesday in Atlanta was simply epic. Our team’s fightback was extraordinary. In the last few minutes of the match, everything changed. Lionel Scaloni’s team managed to reverse an unfavourable situation, shifting from disadvantage to strength and control. The tables were turned. And we all celebrated as if we had already won the World Cup. Why? Because there’s nothing else to be glad about nowadays in our country. Nothing. No Justice, hidden inflation, an administration that boasts of a successful “macro” while ignoring our painful “micro”, company closures, rising unemployment; you name it. In the midst of all these negative facts, our players offer us an awesome excuse to celebrate, to rejoice, A timely story of love to embrace one another, to weep for joy. Forever thankful, guys!
