AI warns us: “less sunlight lowers our serotonin levels, which affects our mood.” So true! We haven’t seen the sun for so long! I believe we tend to take Phoebus for granted, and only after weeks of overcast weather do we realize the importance of sunlight in our everyday lives. We feel gloomy, less motivated, tired, lacking energy, drive and enthusiasm. Life looks grey, as grey as the sky. The link between the weather and our emotions is crystal-clear. Fortunately, we still have four seasons in Argentina. So many Northern countries have such long dark winters, during which indoor activities are the only choice. Sunlight is one of the few things that costs nothing (for now) and boosts our mood. I hope I can join the Liverpool Boys this morning and sing along with them: “Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun, and I say it’s all right.”
