Last Sunday, President Milei was given another chance. The results of the midterm elections were surprising for both sides. Peronists/Kirchnerites didn’t expect to lose and the liberals didn’t expect to win either. I do hope Milei doesn’t get cocky after this triumph – he isn’t on easy street. I hope he admits the serious errors of his administration and does something about it. I’d say his responsibility is even bigger now. We’ve been disappointed in many aspects so far, and won’t put up with another disillusion. He should be more open-minded and avoid insulting people who don’t agree with his views. He should be more sympathetic and realize we are flesh and blood human beings, not numbers on an Excel spreadsheet. The opposition, too, has a lesson to be learnt. There should be honest self-criticism on both sides. I hope this chance is not wasted, for everyone’s sake.
