Are we on the brink of a Third World War, I wonder? From this part of the world, the “Deep South” of Latin America, we witness what’s going on in the Middle East, Gaza, Hezbollah, Israel, Ukraine, Russia, etc. from a distance, as if it were a Netflix series, something unreal, pure fiction. But, unfortunately, it isn’t. Missile and drone attacks, bombs dropping, explosive weapons, thousands of civilians taking refuge in bunkers, a bleak and scary landscape. Plus the threat of the use of nuclear weapons, which would endanger the whole planet. Wars are an undeniable sign of human involution. Albert Einstein stated it clearly when he said: “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” Sigh …
