I’m not a football fan myself, but I must admit our Argentine national team is worthy of absolute admiration. Particularly if we compare it with our lousy “political team,” which has been far from successful for ages. How on earth can we have such brilliant sportsmen, such outstanding scientists and artists, and, at the same time, such incompetent politicians? How can we be such winners in certain areas, and such losers in others? What a sad contrast! Shouldn’t our “representatives” learn from guys such as Lionel Scaloni or Lionel Messi? Positive leaders who have a goal in mind and do their best to achieve it. Teamwork, joint efforts, good results, fair play, all values conspicuous by their absence in our average statesmen. Sigh…
