How can anyone truly believe that dictator Nicolás Maduro is not lying when he says he got 51.2% of the votes last Sunday? A crystal clear election fraud. Doesn’t everybody know that opposition candidates had been banned from running in the election? Human rights abuses, no freedom of speech, millions of Venezuelans fleeing their homeland every day, extreme poverty, a systematic policy of persecution and repression, arbitrary arrests. While Maduro celebrates his fake victory, there are protests around the country. Over a dozen citizens have been killed and hundreds arrested. Are we going to be mere witnesses of this appalling situation? Isn’t the rest of the world going to react and offer some kind of help?
Believe it or not, there are many individuals in Argentina who still support Maduro. I would give them all, for free, a one-way ticket to Caracas, since they back his so-called «popular revolution», so that they could enjoy first-hand that “paradise”. As long as they stay there forever and get a taste of their own medicine.
