I turned 43 on July 17, 1994. My youngest daughter had just been born. The following day I woke up with the worst piece of news. A terrorist attack, apparently carried out by Hezbollah with the support of Iran, had struck the AMIA Jewish Community Centre in Buenos Aires. Over 80 people were killed and hundreds were injured. Unbelievable! For the last 30 years, our administrations have not been able or haven’t done their best to bring the perpetrators to justice. Accountability and Justice, that’s what the victims’ families have been legitimately and bravely fighting for ever since. To make matters worse, now Argentina has been threatened by Tehran because of its “enmity towards Iran”. Never-ending story. Will there ever be an answer to this dramatic riddle?
