Is Manuel Adorni one of this administration’s “untouchables”? Shouldn’t he have handed in his resignation after inviting his wife Bettina Angeletti to travel with him to New York on the presidential aircraft to attend the “Argentina Week roadshow”? I quote him: “I’ve come [here] to work myself to the bone for a week or five days in the United States and I wanted my wife to accompany me because she is my life partner.” Who cares? “Work myself to the bone”? Really?! What a nerve! Bold as brass! The average citizen in Argentina does work him or herself to the bone in order to barely survive, Mr Adorni. Your apologies didn’t sound sincere, let me tell you. And the well-deserved criticism you got was not “an attempt to undermine the government.” Playing the victim doesn’t work. On the contrary, it makes things worse. But, obviously, you are one of the chosen few, a member of the new, but libertarian, “caste.” Same old story. Más de lo mismo. Dejá vu. Sigh…
